Are you kidding me! I cant even imagine how much time I have spent watching the bounce file dialog box. This would save me hours and hours a week. Great suggestion.
And won’t you check the rendered file?
Not when you are e.g. rendering a preview mix of a 2-hour long concert to give out to the picture editing department.
than audiosuite and export is your friend. It’s very fast too.
Can’t believe someone actually thinks audiosuite is a substitute for offline bounce. Maybe for two channel audio it is.
Workaround, not substitute. I can live without offline bounce, so what?
When bouncing mulilateral show, bounce is much better, because with offline bounce you cannot do 4 different at once.
It would be nice feature though.
What’s the problem with offline bounce to 4 different targets at once? You might not be used to that, but it is no issue technically.
All offline bounce is is having the engine ignore realtime constraints in its processing. DAW engines have to be throttled to run in realtime in practice…offline just removes that throttle and lets the engine run at whatever speed it can manage.
And yes, all in sample accurate sync, to whatever output targets are desired. Implementations that force you to pick just one output (or a stereo pair) are basically crippled…recording to multiple files at once is no problem, we couldn’t do multitrack recording without it. If that slows down the bounce a bit due to filesystem constraints, well, it’s going as fast as it can.
Which daw is able to do offline bounce to 4 or more different target from multiple masterbuses? (it’s been a long time since i haven’t checked this)
But if it’s possible, than you still have to qc the material.
def yes!!!!
we have been requesting rendering since version 5. try doing two or three hour films. we just work in segments………
Any mix I’m serious about, I’d want to listen to the whole bounce anyway- I’m not in huge favor of this sort of option that puts reduced time over thorough work
I can see some use for it, my final bounces would be in real time anyway, but intermediate ones could be a breeze with this feature so.. thumbs up!
We all work in different ways. It would be nice to have the choice.
